The Infant Potty Training Trailblazer: Laurie Boucke Interview – part two of this wonderful interview

Small-baby-on-potty-ec-pioneer-pt2

Last time on the Go Diaper Free Podcast I shared the first part of my interview with author Laurie Boucke, the woman whom I consider to be the absolute trailblazer in bringing infant potty training to the Western culture back in the late 70's and onward. Enjoy listening to the second half of our interview!

You will hear:

  • Laurie’s advice for those who are new to Elimination Communication, or having difficulty with it.
  • how her book came about in a time when there simply was no Internet, and how Laurie decided to frame her EC methodology (hint: it has to do with in-arms and sitting phases)

About Andrea Olson

I'm Andrea and I spend most of my time with my 6 children and the rest of my time teaching other new parents how to do Elimination Communication with their 0-18 month babies. I love what I do and try to make a difference in one baby or parent's life every single day. (And I love, love, love, mango gelato.)

Thank you to both of you! I first heard about diper free when I was pregnant with my first child four years ago but was discouraged as no one else I knew had heard about it or they thought it was a crazy idea. So I didn’t really start until my child was about 14 months and just had a very relaxed approach to it. Now with child number two I started from birth and at 5 months we are having amazing success. I still don’t know anyone outside my family who potty babies even parttime so I really appreciate being able to come on line and hear others people talking about this topic on your podcasts. So thank you again!

You’re so welcome! So many people do EC over the world, but sometimes we don’t know anyone in our direct community who does. It helps me too given that I’m ECing my 8 month old. I’m so glad you’re enjoying starting earlier with your second :) xx Andrea
