About Me

Hi, I’m Kimberly Christensen. I am a licensed educator and taught High School math before deciding to become the ultimate teacher of all, that of a mom. I have a gluten-free and sugar-free (mostly!) household. I am an “old soul” when it comes to preference in movies and T.V. shows. I enjoy Gilligan’s Island, Hogan’s Heroes, The Andy Griffith Show, and many more. I am very religious and am a firm believer in equality and fairness for all human beings. I love to learn and read books on various interesting topics. I stumbled across the Tiny Potty Training book by Andrea Olsen when my first little girl was almost 18 months old. Andrea’s words really rang true to me and her method made me feel informed and empowered, so I decided to take the dive and potty train my little one. After the first morning catch, I was hooked! I love the Montessori approach to helping toddlers learn and I have a firm belief in the incredible ability of toddlers to learn and master extraordinary things. I have started implementing Montessori methods and activities in my home and am loving it! I am learning to respect the intense desire of toddlers to learn, and am trying to create a home environment that facilitates the ability to learn and fans the flame of the desire to learn.
