About Me

I'm Sári from Budapest (Hungary), mom of one little girl.

We've started EC when she was around 1-2 weeks old. Actually, she decided to start it :D she kept going on the changing table every time I opened her diaper. She decided not to go in her nappy and I decided to hold her over the potty so that she can go there and not all around.

I really enjoy to have this extra bound with her, the idea of keeping her sense of hygiene, that she doesn't need to sit in her waste or that I don’t need to wash poo from anything, and of course that EC is indeed environment and wallet-friendly... what more? As a yoga teacher and I also like the idea of keeping the body awareness and even improve it at such a young age. EC is something that I love to do and teach too.

I support families around elimination communication and potty training in Budapest and the surrounding areas.

See below for my current offerings or click here for Budapest's local Facebook Group.

COACH Q&A

My experiences with Elimination Communication

When did you first learn about EC? What did you think? What did you do about it?

I first learned about EC in China (but at that time I didn't know that it's EC). I've seen babies in open crotch pants and going in the middle of the town with the help of their parents.
10 years later when I was expecting my first baby I had a chat about reusable cloth diapers with one of my colleague. I've asked her how many diapers I need, she replied: "I don't really know, we practiced EC" ...

What does it mean for you to teach EC?

I do something useful for the families here and now, and I give something for the future population. This is something that worth to put energy in it because it makes perfect sense. People should know about it as the best possible way to care for a baby and protect the environment.

What is your favorite piece of EC gear or clothing?

Clothing: Babylegs
Gear: Potette Plus

What book has inspired you the most on the path to becoming a more empowered mother?

The Continuum Concept: In Search Of Happiness Lost (Classics in Human Development).

What would you tell someone who is thinking of trying EC for the first time?

Decide when to start and with what intensity, then find a good source to learn about EC, start it and ask for help if you need any.
