About Me

My name is Naiya and I have been working with children for the better half of my life. I have a BA and am a certified Montessori teacher. I am a mother to a little girl, with whom I have practiced full-time EC from birth. I am also a part-time nanny to a toddler who has been pottying (mostly) successfully from about 18 months.I have a passion for learning, specifically around “natural and alternative parenting”. I ran across the topic of EC during my studies and fell in love with the concept; what a brilliant idea! Why wouldn’t we go back to the wisdom of the days before diapers?

I enjoy a simple, natural life with my wife, our daughter, and our 3 animals. I often find myself cooking, fermenting foods, gardening, dancing, doing yoga, working on diy projects and crafts, taking nature walks, sewing, reading, and, most of all, learning about children, learning about ways to BE with children, and actually being with them! I have probably read more parenting literature than many parents will ever even want to read.

I am very excited to bring this wisdom to you and your children and am thrilled that I have now have been able to get hands on experience in my own home with my own little one to share with you so you can see that EC with an infant (or a toddler!) can be a reality for you too.

I teach EC for 0-18 months as well as non-coercive potty training for 18+ months. It’s never too late!
