Gina Dardano - Certified Coach

About Me

When I was pregnant with my first child I began researching the best, most eco-friendly form of diapering. I came across EC and was fascinated. From that moment on I knew it was the best decision we could make for our child. It resonated with me on a fundamental, humanistic level. EC quickly became a natural process in our parenting, and just like that, 18 months later for our son and 16 months for our daughter, both our children were diaper free!

I have over 20 years of experience working with children of all ages as a gymnastics instructor and coach. Teaching is my passion. I believe learning is a process; a journey toward growth and achievement. Through successes and setbacks there will always be value in the experience, and I love being a part of that journey with others.

The purpose of my EC coaching practice is to provide guidance, community, information and support to parents in all stages of the potty training process. Whether you are a soon-to-be first time parent, or an experienced parent that wants to try a different approach to potty training there is something for everyone at Go Diaper Free Denver.

I look forward to working with your family to create a diaper free lifestyle.

COACH Q&A

My experiences with Elimination Communication

When did you first learn about EC? What did you think? What did you do about it?

First learned about EC five years ago when my first born was experiencing wicked skin irritations as a result of acidic urine. I came across Diaper Free article and took the plunge into the EC world. We have never looked back. Been practicing EC with our daughter since birth and intend on doing the same with our next baby, due in February.

What does it mean for you to teach EC?

It’s empowering! EC makes so much sense to me that it’s ridiculous to do anything else.

What is your favorite piece of EC gear or clothing?

We love the Beco Tiny Potty.

What book has inspired you the most on the path to becoming a more empowered mother?

Go Diaper Free and The Happiest Baby on the Block have been our bibles throughout our journey so far as parents. As our kids are getting older, we refer to Positive Parenting courses that we take part in to guide us through the challenges that arise.

What would you tell someone who is thinking of trying EC for the first time?

It can be done! You can put a newborn on a potty and let nature do what it’s supposed to. We aren’t designed to spend the first years of our lives sitting in our bodily waste so EC is the way to go. And...I can help you!
